Duly qualified Brethren are always welcome at Melrose. We meet on the First Monday October to March (Except January) at 7.30pm with the exception of November, that's usually our PGL visit so we start at 7pm. Our Annual Installation is on the Saturday of the third full week in June.

With a population of about 2, 500, Melrose is in the heart of the Scottish Borders about 45 miles south of Edinburgh and 110 miles north of Newcastle just off the A6091. It sits on the banks of the River Tweed and is over-looked by the Eildon Hills. It is the home of the beautiful ruins of Melrose Abbey which was Scotland's first Cistercian Monastery founded in 1136 by David the First. The Abbey, which the Masons built with pride and care, is only a short walk from the Town Centre and the Lodge.
Melrose Rugby Football Club were the founders of the famous Rugby Sevens and continues to host some of the finest rugby in Scotland.
The Town boasts a varied selection of local speciality shops as well as some fine restaurants, hotels and guest houses which makes the town an ideal place for a holiday or a short break with plenty to do and see in the surrounding area. The Lodge is approx. 100 yards from the Market Square.
Melrose is only 10 minutes away from the Railway Station at Tweedbank.
The site of the original Lodge at St. John's Wynd in Newstead is only a 5 minute drive from Melrose
